Nashville AI events calendar: every conference, meetup, and executive room, verified

Nashville AI events run all year. The big annual conferences are Nashville AI Week (each May, The Factory at Franklin), the AI Tennessee Summit (March, Country Music Hall of Fame), the GNTC Summit (each September, Omni Nashville), and the Leaders in AI Summit (August, Gaylord Opryland). Monthly meetups include Nashville Data Nerds, Artificial Intelligencers, and AI Tinkerers. Meetups are free; conference tickets run $75 to $1,800.

Every table on this page is drawn from the live calendar, which is rechecked against each organizer's page every week. Where a date has not been announced, the table gives the usual cadence instead.

What Nashville AI events are coming up?

The calendar has everything after these, and you can subscribe to it in Google, Apple, or Outlook calendar.

One planning note for owners: the Tennessee Incumbent Worker Training grant excludes conferences. It reimburses instructor fees and curriculum for structured training, which is why a conference ticket is an expense and a team cohort can be a grant.

Which annual AI conferences come to Nashville?

There is an AI conference in Nashville in most months from March through October. Several of these are run by out-of-state organizers who picked Nashville for the hotel inventory, so check the organizer's calendar each year; a city can drop off a roadshow without notice.

The national summits (Leaders in AI, Behavioral Health AI) price for enterprise budgets and vendor sponsors; the local ones (GNTC, Columbia State, MTSU) price for a manager's card. One caution: the first AI Tennessee Summit was postponed for weather from January to March, so treat its month as a guess until UT posts the next one.

Which Nashville AI meetups and communities meet every month?

This is where the people building with AI in Nashville actually are. Almost all of them are free.

Nashville Software School publishes a monthly roundup of every tech meetup in town, which is the best single place to catch the ones that are not AI-branded but spend half the evening on it.

Three groups people ask about could not be verified as Nashville events: Claude Coders (the Meetup group by that name is based in Austin), the AI for HR Impact Lab (no scheduled Nashville date), and the Nashville Analytics Summit (last held in 2019; the GNTC Summit is its successor).

Which university and public AI programs are open to businesses?

Three more are worth knowing. Vanderbilt Executive Education runs Ethical AI Strategy and Enterprise Governance, one to three days in person for senior and mid-level executives. The Vanderbilt Amplify GenAI Innovation Center is a partnership gateway for companies and agencies piloting AI, not an events program. Lipscomb University offers an applied AI master's and graduate certificate for working professionals.

Which Nashville AI events are worth a CEO's time?

If you run a 50 to 1,000-person company in Middle Tennessee and can spare three days a year, spend them in these three rooms. The calendar has the next date for each.

1. Nashville AI Week, leadership day (each May, Franklin). The audience is business executives rather than engineers, and the program splits into leadership, business, and security days, so you can buy the one day that fits. The security and technology day is for your IT lead, not you.

2. GNTC Summit (each September, Omni Nashville). This is where the region's CIOs, IT directors, and the vendors who sell to them are in one building for a few hundred dollars. Recent sessions include "Build Your First AI Employee, Live: 5 Guardrails Before It Touches Your Business." Go to meet the person you will hire or contract next year, and to hear what the platinum sponsors, HCA and Amazon among them, are actually deploying.

3. Columbia State AI for Small Business (each October, Franklin, $75). The cheapest serious room on this list. The keynote is Jesse Spencer-Smith on recent developments applied to your practice, and the sessions cover marketing materials, customer communications, and back-office operations. Send yourself and your office manager; you will leave with two things to try Monday.

If you run a health services company, add Nashville Healthcare Sessions each September; AI is a track there, not the subject, but the buyers are in the room. If you are a manufacturer, the Tennessee Chamber's AI Summit sold out in 2025 and is your peer set.

The failure mode is coming back from one of these rooms with a list of tools and no plan. Block a half day the week after with your leadership team: pick two workflows, assign owners, and put them on the scorecard.

How to get an AI event listed on this calendar

Send the event name, date, venue, organizer, audience, price, and registration link through the submission form, or email them to events@nashvilleaievents.com. Listings are free. We list events held in Nashville and Middle Tennessee where AI is a prominent topic. Public events are checked against a public page first; invite-only events are listed with the person to ask for an invite.

Frequently asked questions

When is Nashville AI Week?

Each May at The Factory at Franklin, with more than 50 sessions split across leadership, business, and security days. The Enterprise Technology Association posts dates at joinaiweek.com/nashville, and the calendar lists the next one as soon as it is announced.

Are AI meetups in Nashville free?

Yes. AI Tinkerers Nashville, Artificial Intelligencers, Nashville Data Nerds, the AI in Music meetup, and the Nashville AWS User Group all cost nothing to attend, and several include food from a sponsor. The only cost is your own coffee at the Data Nerds breakfast. Register on Meetup, Eventbrite, or the group's site, because the venues cap attendance.

Can the Tennessee IWT grant pay for an AI conference ticket?

No. The state's Incumbent Worker Training rules exclude conferences, along with wages, travel, and equipment. The grant reimburses instructor fees, curriculum development, and materials for structured training delivered in Tennessee, up to $25,000 per grant. A conference is a good place to decide what to train on; the training itself is what the grant funds.

Is there a Nashville AI Summit?

Several events use the word: the Leaders in AI Summit (Gaylord Opryland, August), the AI Tennessee Summit (Country Music Hall of Fame, March), the Tennessee Chamber's Tennessee AI Summit (typically November), and the Behavioral Health AI Summit (Gaylord Opryland, March). Pick by audience, not by name; the calendar has the next date for each.

Which Nashville AI conference is best for executives?

For a general business leader, Nashville AI Week's leadership day each May. For a technology leader, the GNTC Summit each September. For a small business owner, Columbia State's AI for Small Business conference each October, $75. Health care executives should look at Nashville Healthcare Sessions, where AI is one track among many but the decision makers attend.
